At last!!! After a 3 month hiatous I'm finally posting some new pictures. This was given to the fact that my camera
has been in the "doctor" for this period of time and only arrived yesterday! I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, I've
been having so many ideas lately (since december) that I basicly ended up having a clash of thoughts, which resulted
in this photo shoot that I called "The Phantom of Liberty", named after my favorite Luis Buñuel film, "Le Fantôme de la liberté".
I am and always been a fan of surrealism and 'weird things', which can be noticed on some of these lastest pictures and in some of
my previous work. I think I have said this before, I don't like to talk about what I do, but one of the pictures, "Asgari Marhoni"
is a quite conceptual piece in that it was inspired on Mahmoud Asgari and Ayaz Marhoni, two teenagers from Iran who were hanged on July 19, 2005 for engaging in homosexual behavior. I find it...I can't even put in words how revolting I find the fact that nowadays, in this century people are still made to live in fear and with "masks" and the story of Asgari and Marhoni really touched me! This little piece of information is more than enough as what it needs to be said about it. I honestly believe that everybody should have sex/make love with everybody. I for one would love to!
I never know what to say when I write these Journals, but I can say that I loved the Oscars this year. I'm a big fan of the Academy
Awards, I watch it every year and this last one was the most enjoyable since a few years ago. Ellen's a bomb! Just yesterday I
also watched "Notes on a Scandal" with Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett. They're both terific actresses and I encourage everyone to see this movie that once again deals with a very important issue. I'm also posting in the end my YOUTUBE and MYSPACE links...
not that anybody is interested but in case Henry Kissinger drops in....well you never know.
